The Caribbean Sea is located above South America and below Cuba. There is a difference in the water between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea in that it tends to be calmer and warmer. The reason for this is that it is basically coved off by islands and the water is more shallow. For Scuba divers you will find marine life here that you will not see in the Atlantic ocean even though they are connected. Some of these unique things include soft coral, different species of fish and invertebrates.
