There are 13 places you have to visit on Banff ave. I have been going to these places for my entire life, and now I take my kids to many of these places. Banff ave is filled with incredible novelty stores, restaurants and other shops. Many of these are hidden and tucked away, but they are gems none the less.
Not all of the places I’m going to talk about today are kid friendly, but most of them are. I am including all of them because many of our readers do not have children, and read our blog because of the really blunt info I share.

1.Candy Shop
The Candy shop in Banff is so good, they have all sorts of retro candies from your childhood and some freshly made candy. I have been going there since I was a child and always associate Banff ave with these crazy candy shops.
2. Fudge Shop
When you walk by you will know that you have to go in. The freshly made fudge is world famous and smells unreal.
3. Coffee Shops
I love just sitting and people watching in Banff. I always pop into one of the many coffee shops on Banff ave and sit around and enjoy the view and the people. My favourite one to sit at is located by the keg steakhouse. It is called evelynes and is right on Banff ave.
4. The Grizzly House Restaurant
We looooveeee this restaurant. You cook your own food on a hot stone. They have a variety of sauces and some really interesting meats to explore.

5. Aurora Nightclub
This is our favourite nightclub in Banff. It is classy, they play some hip hop and reggae. It is done vegas style, however it is pretty small and is located in a basement by the noodle house on Banff ave. If you want to party this is one of the 11 places you have to go on Banff ave.
6. Dancing Sasquatch nightclub
This place is totally Alberta style and will play top 40. The crowd is very mixed.
7. Gift Shops
They have 3 or 4 huge gift shops on Banff ave. They are a bit expensive but they have good shit inside. I guess the many Japanese people around Banff are the ones buying most of this stuff.
8. Sundance Mall
This is the mall located across the street from earls. It is in the centre of Banff ave. They have all sorts of stores here. These are mostly brand name stores. There is a food court there as well.
9. La terrazza Italian Restaurant
This is a really pretty italian restaurant. A great place to take a date.
10. The Toy Store
There is a retro toy store that is fun for both adults and kids. They have games that you haven’t seen since the 70s or 80s! If you love retro toys you have to go to this toy store on Banff Ave
11. Ski Shops
There are a few ski shops on Banff ave that sells gear, they are a bit pricey but they have some of the latest and best equipment. A couple of these places rent skis and snowboards as well and it is cheaper than renting on the mountain.
