  1. Skiing

Skiing is one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have in Banff and there are several mountains to ski on including sunshine village and Lake louise.

2. Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is an activity where you walk on a device made for walking on the snow. It allows you to go places you would not normally want to in just your boots because you don’t sink as much.

3. Hiking

Hiking in Banff is incredible. I wrote some articles about hiking in Banff below. Including Johnston Canyon the most famous hike in Banff.

4. Cross Country Skiing

Skiing on flat land. You push one foot in front of the other and can sometimes pick up some decent speed. This is a great workout in Banff.

5. Kayaking

Kayaking is agreat cardio, upper body, tricep and lower back workout. There are many lakes and streams in Banff to hike on.

6. Swimming

Many of the hotels have swimming pools and there is also a public rec centre to swim at. You can also check out the hot springs!

7. Lifting weights

This is always a great muscular workout. Most of the hotels have gyms and there is also the rec centre.

8. Jogging

Jogging in Banff is really pretty as you are surrounded by mountains and forest. This is also a great way to explore Banff.

9. White water rafting

This is a crazy experience. We tried this a few years ago and it was crazy. Your body gets thrown around a bit causing you to use muscles you normally would not use.

10. Horseback riding

This is another activity that uses you stabilizing muscles a lot. There are a few places in banff that offer horseback riding.

11. Golfing

There is a lot of walking in Golf, it can be a great exercise you can do in Banff. You will also be blessed with the beautiful surroundings and the fresh mountain air. The main golf course here is right behind the banff springs hotel.

12. Snowboarding

Snowboarding is an awesome workout. The last time I tried though I spent a lot of time on my ass.

13. Walking Banff Ave

Banff town or banff ave is an awesome place to walk around. There is a lot of cool things to discover if you take the time to look!

14. Tubing down a mountain

You can rent a tube and take it all the way down a mountain. It is so fun you gotta try it.
