The Fiji Islands are a touch of heaven on earth. There are 330 islands in total in Fiji, and each is uniques in its own way. There are 2 main islands in Fiji, Viti Levu where the 2 main cities are Suva and Nadi. And Vanua Levu the second biggest Island in Fiji, home of another 2 cities Lambasa and Savusavu. The majority of the tourism is in the Nadi part of the main island and Suva. There are 2 famous groupings of islands off of mainland Fiji called the Yasawa Islands and the Mamanuca Islands respectively. We visited many of these places last year and found that there was a lack of high quality information on the internet.
I decided to put together this very detailed list, so that you will be able to choose what Fiji islands are best for you to visit. You will find that the most luxurious resorts will be found on the Mamanuca stretch of islands, and the most affordable will be on the Yasawa stretch as there are many locally run guesthouses here. In Fiji the most beautiful places to go will be in the Yasawa island and the Mamanuca island. I hope this and some of the other Fiji guides we have written will help you make a good decision. You’re going to love this place!
