Fiji has some of the most pristine beaches in the world. Many of these beaches can be found on the mainland and others on the many islands surrounding mainland Fiji. We travelled to Fiji on the hunt for the best beaches and we found that most of them are actually located on the surrounding islands. The beaches on these island were soft white sand and most of them had a coral reef surrounding them, great for diving and snorkelling. Here is the ultimate list of the best beaches in Fiji broken down by location and nearby resorts. We also will tell you where not to go in Fiji beach warnings.

1. Natadola Beach

   Located behind the Natadola beach resort or the intercontinental Resort, has miles of white sand beach. This beach is great for snorkelling and lounging. Approximately 54km from Nadi. There are no Public washrooms or change areas on this beach, so if you are going there you will have to use one of the 3 resorts facilities. You can also eat at any of the 3 resorts. It is a public beach and is absolutely one of the best beaches in Fiji as it is clean, has great sand and awesome snorkelling.

2. Coral Coast Beaches

   There are several beaches along the 80 km stretch of the coral coast. If you are staying here, it is a good idea to rent a driver for the day and get them to take you beach hopping. The beaches in this area have light colour sand are are set on a beautiful backdrop. There is good snorkelling along the coral coast as there are large healthy reefs in this area. This is the birthplace of Fiji tourism, so you can imagine it has a lot of resorts and it is picture perfect!

3. Coconut beach

   Coconut beach is located in the Yasawa islands, the furthest island group from mainland Fiji. It can be reached by boat or ferry from Denarau port. The Yasawa Islands are pristine and untouched. Very few people on the planet have visited this area, and you could be one of them. This is where the best diving is and reefs. There is a resort on this Island called Coconut Beach resort, it is a luxury resort.

4. Sandy Point Beach

   Located on the beautiful coral coast in Singatoka Fiji. This place is a few hours from the Nadi airport. There is one hotel here called the sandy point cottages. It is not luxurious, but it is well priced and right on the beach. The famous outrigger is close to this beach. About 100m away.

5. Hilton Fiji Beach

   They call it a beach… not really what most people would have in mind. This is located in Denarau island close to Nadi. They do not have any good beaches here and you most likely will not want to swim in the water here. However the Hilton Beach resort here has an awesome pool, and it is very beautiful. 

6. Sekawa Beach

   Located in Savusavu, where the best Kava is from. This is a nice beach with good snorkelling. There are beach cottages here as well as a luxury resort called Emaho Sekawa Luxury Resort.

7. Tubakula Beach

   This is a pristine white sand beach in Korotoga Fiji, it is remote and there are beach cottages here. There are no luxury hotels here.

8. Sunset beach

   Sunset beach is on Mana island, it is a beautiful private beach in the Mamanuca island group. There is a dive resort here called the Ratu Kini dive resort. So as you can imagine, the diving here would be amazing.

9. Blue lagoon beach

   This is a spectacular beach on Nacula island in the Yasawa stretch of Fiji Islands. It is a white sand beach in a quiet lagoon surrounded by crystal clear waters. Great diving and snorkelling and surrounded by reef.

10. Long beach Fiji

    This is also located on the Yasawa islands, there is a backpacker resort here called the long beach resort Yasawa. There is no luxury resort here, but the beach does boast an amazing reef and drop offs for diving.

11. Deuba Beach

    This is located in Deuba Fiji, on the southern part of the main island. There are a lot of different resorts here and this is the best beach in the area.

12. Malamala Beach

    Malamala beach is a day trip to  a tiny sand island in the middle of the ocean, where they have created a stunning oasis called the Malamala beach club. It is a short ferry ride from Denarau port.

13. Smugglers Beach

    This is on Wailoaloa beach in Nadi. It is a descent beach. The best right in Nadi for sure. The resort in front of the beach is called smugglers cove beach resort.

14. Bedarra beach Singatoka

    This has a nice white sand beach and is located in Singatoka. Definitely worth a stop as it looks very remote. There is a very poorly reviewed resort here called the Bedarra beach inn. From what i’ve read this is a resort to avoid.

15. Champagne beach

    Another beautiful beach located in the Yasawa islands. There is a luxury resort here called the Yasawa resort and spa.

16. Wananavu beach in Rakiraki

    Wananavu beach is private and small, it gives you the feeling you are far away from everything. This is located at the most northern point of Fiji in Volivoli. There is a beautiful resort in front of the beach called Wananavu Beach resort.

17. Momi bay beach

    Momi bay beach is man made in beautiful Momi bay where the new Marriot Momi bay is located. We stayed here and the beach was perfect for small children and adults. Inside the bay is perfect for swimming and outside is great for snorkelling. They have water sport like kayaks for rent here.

18. Honeymoon beach on Turtle Island

    In Nanuya Levu, turtle island is one of the islands close to the mainland. This is a pristine beach surrounded by clear blue water. Perfect for snorkelling with Turtles! There is a resort here called turtle island resort.

19. Likuliku Beach on Monolo Island

    This beautiful beach is located behind the Likuliku resort on Monolo island. It is close to the mainland across from castaway island.

20. Quamea Beach

    Getting here is an adventure. First you fly into Nadi, then you take a hopper plane to Taveuni island. This is where this is located. You will find the effort worth it with a white sand beac and a luxury resort. the Quamea North Fiji resort and spa.

The Best beaches Near Nadi

1. Natadola Beach  

   Located an hour from Nadi, this beach is 1 Hour from Nandi and has miles of white sand beach, 3 resorts and a Coral Reef to snorkel on. You can eat at one of the resorts restaurant or catch a drink there. 

2. Smuggler Cove Beach

   This is grey sand and not good for snorkelling as the water is cloudy here and it does not have a reef anywhere near.

3. Momi bay Beach 

   This beach is a beauty. This is where we stayed at the Marriot Momi Bay. It is perfect for kids and there are no waves or current her because it is in a bay.

The Best Beaches near Suva

1. Nukulau beach

   This is a small island a ferry ride away from Suva, it used to be a prison island in the 1900’s. Now it has been converted to an amazing day trip destination from Suva, for its prestine beaches and  blue water. There is no resort here but it is definitely worth your time. The island is called Nukulau island.

2. Leleuvia Beach

   Also a Boat ride away from Suva, this place is paradise. It has a small resort on it called the Leleuvia island resort. Surrounded by crystal clear blue water and a white sand beach.

3. Caqalia beach

   This is also a private small island a couple of hours away from Suva. There is no resort here other than a basic tenting beach. Caqalai island is perfect if you just want to get away from it all. Given the choice I would opt for one of the other island beaches as they will have bathrooms at the resort as well as restaurants.

The Best Beach near Denarau

1. Natadola Beach

   You are probably seeing a trend here, this is a must visit beach. We included it in this section because Nadi and Denarau are very close to each other. It is an hour and 20 minutes from Denarau. 

2. Momi Bay

   Momi bay is 20-30 mins from Denarau. There are tours that take you to this beach.

3. Denarau Beach

   Don’t go to Denarau beach. You will hate it. Denarau is man made and has great resorts on it, but they lack in the beach department. If you are in Denarau, you are going to want to take a ferry out to the surrounding islands to go for a great day trip.
